Dating blenko glass
The Blenko factory, located in Milton, West Virginia, a few minutes off Interstate 64, has an onsite museum displaying some of its innovative designs, along with an observation area.

There are several jobs involved in producing a piece.
One worker is responsible for gathering just the right amount of hot glass. Then the piece is removed from the blowpipe, and a finisher completes the piece by cutting off ragged edges and working with the soft glass so that it matches a master design. He set up his first factory in Indiana in the 1890s but was not initially successful.
A circa 1920's to 1930's Venetian set of 12 hand-blown glass stems, produced by Salviati, thin walled, with gold leaf, with octagonal form rims, decorated with blue drops, on stems with swirled bulbs.
A very unique, large-scale ice bucket, produced circa 1970s, with rounded body and baluster point, raised on a single foot, in lacquered gold-leaf finish against wood; interior lined with white plastic.
A set of three Art Deco era seltzer bottles, produced in Argentina, circa 1940s in vibrant colored glass, rare tones of orange, cobalt blue and fuchsia. The bottles remain in good vintage condition, wear consistent with age.
A 9,000-seat multi-purpose arena with attached conference center, the Big Sandy Superstore Arena is the largest in the Tri-State.
The arena hosts numerous concerts, family shows, trade shows and regional/ state athletic competitions year-round.
